Appointed as an Indane distributor in the year 1984, FLAME CRAFT was set up with the objective of distributing LPG cylinders to consumers in the localities of New Alipore and Behala in South Calcutta, West Bengal. In 1990, Flame Craft moved from a small garage establishment and set up Calcutta’s largest gas distribution office at the heart of New Alipore, one of the city’s best neighborhoods.
In 1991 FLAME CRAFT became the first agency in India to adopt “Flame”, a software-based booking program for ease in the distribution process thereby acquiring a technological advantage over other distributes and agencies. In 2005, FLAME CRAFT upgraded its booking system tothe “Indane” software.
FLAME CRAFT from inception has made continuous efforts to develop innovative marketing techniques for supply of LPG gas cylinders and safety equipment for domestic and commercial purposes. By 1994, hotel magnates like Taj Bengal, The Oberoi Grand and The Kenilworth, among others, were top consumers of commercial LPG cylinders with FLAME CRAFT as an interagent.
FLAME CRAFT ensured that its employees always contributed and benefited from its growth and achievements. Today, we have a team of 36 well-trained office staff and delivery boys, 6 of who have been with FLAME CRAFT since its inception years. In fact, impressed by the experience and diligence of the team, Indian Oil Corporation of India has decided to their send their new distributors to FLAME CRAFT to undergo training on setting up and building an agency, and communicating with and managing consumer relations.
Over time, with growth in the residential housing and commercial properties around Alipore, the volume of orders expanded. FLAME CRAFT adapted to this growth and are proud of our daily contribution to the swankiest of hoteliers and residences in the city to the smallest of eateries.
